I took the kids to visit a good friend of mine in London last week and I couldn't resist photographing her beautiful girls Elvie & Wallis - who love the camera and coming up with creative ideas!
What an amazing location for a shoot! Thanks to Emma who found this beautiful flower field on the Wyke Manor Estate Farm in Worcestershire - we had a great time amongst the flowers playing hide and seek ; )
This is the third shoot I've had with Emily, she's such a natural in front of the camera and a happy creative collaborator ; )
It was such a pleasure and a privilege to be able to work with Emily in capturing her beautiful bump and her brand new adorable Beni! You can see more images in my 'Bump to Newborn' section.
I met Emily during our yoga shoot, she wanted to work with me afterwards to capture some bump shots on location. We met one Sunday afternoon in Standish woods in Stroud to photograph her amongst the bluebells. Emily came prepared with a few outfits and I adore her 'bluebell' coloured top which shows off her beautiful bump! She did very well seeing that she was overdue (still waiting for baby to make an appearance!).
For our second location we headed to Haresfiled Beacon - what amazing views! I had to capture Emily with the view as well as creating that classic silhouette bump image.
I am currently working on a really lovely project with Gillian Merrett Holmes who teaches Antenatal, Yoga for Pregnancy & Mother and Baby Yoga at NCT in Stroud. We are working with these lovely pregnant ladies, I photographed them a couple of weeks ago at Stroud Yoga Space. Next shoot will involve the new babies!
I met up with Rachel & her family a couple of weekends ago. I was introduced to Olivia the bearded dragon; the boys excitedly told me all about her and insisted she ought to have some solo portraits - a first for me - she was very well behaved! I had lots of fun collaborating with the boys on ideas for the shoot, they came up with some brilliant locations as well as some fantastic poses.
I really welcome and encourage collaborative ideas when I'm asked to photograph people - especially from the kids as they enjoy getting involved and feel a sense of achievement at the end of the shoot. I even handed my camera over to the boys - which they LOVED! Below are some of my favourite shots!
I'm back to work after my maternity leave with my daughter Fjóla. My first bump shoot was with Emily a few weeks ago in her lovely cottage in the Cotswolds, I also photographed the family with the bump. Below are some of the shots; I really love the one of Noah and his smiley face that he drew on Emily's bump : ) So much fun to collaborate with the kids on the shoots!
What a fun shoot! I spent last Saturday with the Kellehers in the family home. Scout is a natural little poser, as soon as I had my camera in hand, she was there....using my lens cap as a prop!
Congratulations to Bella & George on their beautiful daughter Rosanna (Anna).
Yesterday I had the pleasure of photographing Anna who is only 8 days old. This is the follow on shoot from Bella's bump shoot.
I spent Sunday morning photographing Bella and her bump, this is our second 'bump' shoot together - I photographed Bella's first pregnancy with Evelyn a week before she was due! This bump is not due until June.
You can also see what Bella is up to on her blog; 'Glitz & pram started as a lifestyle blog & has evolved into an eclectic mix of fashion & beauty, my parenting journey, home & DIY projects, product reviews, & more recently wedding posts & local reviews.'
I know Catherine from TV work as she was a very talented TV Director for over 10 years but now she's a super successful Nutritionist - she asked me to do some promo shots for her new Nutrition website (which will be online very soon) you can find her on her Facebook Page.
As well as shooting some promo shots - I also photographed her family. Looking forward to seeing her new site!
I think the cat took it pretty well ; )
